Irene – The Artist

Irene Bridger was born in Twillingate, Newfoundland into a family of musicians. At a young age Irene gave her heart to Christ and developed a passion for singing. She enjoyed her relationship with God, going to church, singing and participating in different church related activities. She soon developed a reputation as a talented gospel singer and began to receive requests and invitations to surrounding areas. After much hesitation and encouragement from friends and family, Irene decided to take another step on the path to recognition as a singer by recording her debut album in 2003.

Irene – The Wife and Mom

In later years Irene moved to a new stage in her personal life and began a family of her own.  She married Ken Bridger of Twillingate, NL and they had two children, Chuck and Russell.  As their children grew and became more independent Irene’s singing passion became rekindled.

Irene – Her Roots

Irene has been involved in music and singing for the major part of her life. Her musical roots evolved from a large family of musicians and singers, some older, who began paved the way for her in gospel music.  Growing up in a Christian family environment with 11 brothers and sisters was great support for Irene to begin to make her own joyful noise unto the Lord. At an early age Irene took an interest in brass band music as well as singing.  People were quick to recognize her special vocal talents. During her teenage years Irene was well recognized locally as a very talented and passionate singer.

To date Irene’s ministry has allowed her to have recorded three albums:

In addition, Irene is host of the Gospel Kitchen Party in her town during the summer months, and an Artist Associate with World Vision. Her music is aired across Canada and USA and has reached the Top Most Requested Songs of the Year with Canada’s Largest Christian Network, VOAR.

Irene – Her Witness

Notwithstanding all these accomplishments, as she lives out the confirmation of His word, Irene is seeking after God. Without Him, she knows she can do nothing. Her accomplishments past and future pale in comparison to saving of souls. This thought is the inspiring force in her journey to use her ministry and blessings, as a tool of the Gospel to bless others.

“I feel rich!” Says Irene “not with silver or gold ,but because I serve the Creator of all things who have my life  planned out for me, right down to the littlest detail. As I continue my journey here, I want God to use me to leave behind fragrances of His beauty .I believe in not just sharing the Gospel in word and song but by living it out !I believe I need to cultivate my relationship daily with God in order for Him to accomplished what He’s planned for my life. On good and bad days, I rely on the Holy Spirit to get me through, to give me wisdom and strength and power. Knowing ,I can do all things through Christ who Strengthen me!…Then, one day…I look forward to seeing the one I sing about and join the angels’ chorus! Only… because I’ve been saved by Grace.”
